Have you been looking to expand your salon’s service menu to include sunless options, but not sure how to best market and manage them? Tanning salon management software can make this an easy implementation that will surely prove to be lucrative for your business.
At this time of year, you likely have customers who come to you for a deep, dark tan in a hurry for events like prom or an upcoming spring vacation. As sunless equipment types are non-regulated, what better way to quickly achieve a golden glow than by enjoying a UV session on the same day as a spray-tan? This combination of services will give your salon guests the results they seek while ensuring that you’re in line with applicable regulations.
Perhaps you’ve just introduced a sunless spray-booth or have begun offering custom airbrush tans, and have many regular members who have yet to give it a try. If so, you might consider rewarding your members with a free sunless session following their next successful EFT draft, as chances are it won’t be their one and only session – they’ll be hooked. Some might even consider upgrading their memberships to one that includes both UV and sunless!
As an added bonus, if you are looking to add services that are not subject to the 10% Tan Tax, sunless is a great option. Sunless systems can be can be configured within your software as non-regulated equipment, so that these services will automatically be excluded from being charged Tan Tax.
Have you had parents come to you who have considered allowing their children to tan prior to an upcoming beauty pageant, dance recital or gymnastics meet, but they are considered under age in terms of UV tanning? Your software program will alert you that he or she is under the minimum tanning age that has been configured within your system – but, if you have a spray-booth in your equipment mix, you can still meet that customer’s needs!
If you’ve just begun or are considering offering custom airbrush tans, it will likely build momentum quickly. Utilizing an electronic appointment book and employee scheduling system will be key, so that you can book appointments for your guests with their preferred spray-technician on a day and time when they are scheduled to work. As an added convenience, tracking appointments electronically will allow technicians to view upcoming appointments on-the-go on their Android or Google devices.
If you decide to offer sunless services that are not controlled by a timer system, such as custom airbrushing, if your software program includes a check-in feature, you’ll still be able to sell packages as you won’t have to worry about manually deducting sessions. If a customer has a three-session airbrush package, you can take comfort in knowing that they won’t potentially get a free session because an employee forgot to adjust the remaining units accordingly. Utilizing such a feature will ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately, including the date and time that the service was performed.
Are you interested in keeping your salon up-to-date by continuously enhancing services? If so, utilizing the right technology is the answer! Sunless tanning is here to stay – and with the proper salon management system, you will be able to handle any changes seamlessly.
