Don’t waste another season without making sure that all of your marketing efforts and decisions are made with mobile in mind.
A few months ago, in this space, I wrote about the importance of moving your website to a responsive design to take advantage of where the entire world lives today.
I don’t think it would be difficult for me to convince you that most of us live on our mobile devices! Think about what you do in your typical day, and it will be much easier to list the activities you DON’T do with or on your phone than it is to list what you do with them.
I took a few minutes to think that through and it was, frankly, pretty enlightening.
… and the list goes on and on. Can you imagine a day without your smartphone?
Don’t waste another season without making sure that all of your marketing efforts and decisions are made with mobile in mind. Your salon guests live on their phones, just like you do.
Ask yourself these questions: Are you using Text Message Marketing? Is your website responsive? Is your email marketing designed to be easily read on a mobile device? Are you asking your current customers for permission to communicate with them on their phones? What else are you doing to communicate with them where they live?
My good friend, Doug Karr, (DK New Media, Indianapolis, IN) put together the infographic below showing how we live in a mobile world. More than ever, your salon guests are purchasing, engaging with and making decisions on their smartphones. In 2015, mobile Internet users have topped desktop-only users – and the trend will continue.
The path to your customers is through their mobile devices! Get ready for increased profits this season by keeping these “facts of life” in mind when building your marketing plan. ■
