I graduated from college in 1982, looking for a job in pharmaceutical sales. My uncle called and said that he was manufacturing a product that I might like selling … sunbeds. And now, almost 34 years later, I’m still selling sunbeds, except they’re not made out of wood anymore. Now, they have air conditioning, body mist, aroma, changing LED lights, mp3-driven stereos and they talk to you!
I’ve been able to see the industry evolve from its infancy and it has given me the opportunity to meet and work with so many really great people who help me to truly enjoy what I do for a living.
Whatever our family wants to do! I’m blessed with a fantastic wife and great kids – so, when I am home and not traveling, that’s where I want to be and how I want to spend my spare time. We live within walking distance of the beach so we go there, we like to go to the movies, school activities, church activities, little league baseball, bike rides or just sitting on the deck listening to music.
Being self-centered instead of selfless
I grew up in and around New Orleans so, my favorite thing to eat is a fried shrimp po-boy with red beans and rice. Mmm-mmm-mmm!
My seven- year-old son Luke and I have been watching a lot of Street Outlaw on Discovery. It’s about hot rod street racers out of Oklahoma City. When it’s just me, I watch Fox Business and Fox News.
Honestly, I don’t have a bucket list, but if I did, at the top would be a romantic week in Paris with my wife. Then, a tour of The Holy Land.
