A World Series Tan!

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The owner of Great Tan is proud to say that a member of the 2012 World Series champion San Francisco Giants tans at his salon!

Brian Wilson, a closing pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, recently became a tanner at Great Tan in San Francisco. Though injuries kept Wilson out of the Giants’ recent World Series playoffs against Detroit, he did attend every game. He also was the subject of a Fox Sports special about how he prepares for each game – during an “average day”, Brian brought the Fox film crew to Great Tan, where the pro pitcher enjoyed catching some UV rays. “We’re used to having celebrities stop here to tan, but we’ve never had anything filmed in our salon before!” exclaimed Craig Joyner, Great Tan owner.

Wilson became a tanner prior to the World Series playoffs, says Joyner. “One day, he just walked in and said, ‘I want to tan,’ and our staff member on duty that day became a little star-struck,” he said. “He purchased a monthly package and a bottle of lotion and seems to be enjoying his experience with us. I wouldn’t be surprised if he stops in here to get some color before the big parade. It will be great to see him again – he’s a very friendly guy who seems to enjoy the results he gets at our salon.”

Great Tan was founded in 1982, and owned and operated by Craig Joyner since 1992. Today, the chain consists of three locations that serve the San Francisco area.
