SCHAUMBURG, IL – Thanks to the folks at Ultramax Tan and their loyal tanners, more than 400 cans of food were donated to a local charity that helps feed needy people!
On November 1, Ultramax Tan Regional Manager Karen Marinakis placed collection boxes for donated goods at all three locations. Salon guests who brought in three nonperishable food items received a free tanning or spa service session of their choice, with all proceeds going to the Schaumburg Pantry. “We want to help people who are in need,” said Karen, “and to let others know that yes, there are people in our own city who need our help. We advertised this program in the store, on Facebook and with our text club and the response was great! The success we had has inspired me to hold other fundraisers throughout the year.”
Michael Vojack opened his first Ultramax Tan salon in 1992 in Bloomingdale, IL. Since then, he’s added locations in Arlington Heights and Schaumburg. The salon chain offers five levels of UV tanning as well as sunless tanning.
Since 1997, IST Magazine (formerly known as Island Sun Times) has been committed to the success of salon professionals, while promoting the growth of the tanning industry as a whole.
