INDIANAPOLIS, IN – For the past two seasons, Australian Gold® has had the privilege of sponsoring the Pacemates, cheerleaders for NBA finalists, the Indiana Pacers. Throughout the years, the Pacemates have appeared at local events, as well as on television prominently displaying the AG logo on their attire and around the Pacers arena! Well-known throughout Indy, the Pacemates represent women everywhere who like to stay fit, healthy and tan.
Because of this sponsorship, New Sunshine, LLC was invited to take part in the 2013 Pacemate tryouts. Angie Provo, VP of Marketing for all New Sunshine brands, sat alongside Pacers’ point guard, George Hill and four other judges to select which girls would proudly wear the Pacemate uniform. All 26 finalists competed in many categories; including a fitness model portion where they showed off their tan, toned bodies in Australian Gold shirts. While only 16 ladies were chosen to be the new faces of the Pacemates, all contestants left with gifts from Australian Gold®, California Tan®, Designer Skin® and Swedish Beauty®. Describing the night, Angie Provo said, “Judging the girls was an exciting challenge. Not all became Pacemates, but we hope our gift bags put a smile on every face! We love helping women feel more confident and beautiful.”
