My pet’s name: Jayda
Breed/species: Great Dane
The story: The way she entered my life three years ago was a dream come true. I had always wanted a black Great Dane, and she was on “death row” at the humane society because her adoption date had passed. At the time, she was very timid and skinny; she had been severely abused before she was rescued. The humane society really wanted to find her a home, so they had called everyone they knew, and a friend of a friend called me and told me about her. All I knew was that she was good with kids and housebroken, and if they didn’t find her a home by the next morning, she would be euthanized. When I heard that, I decided to adopt her.
My favorite thing about Jayda: I couldn’t ask for a better pet or best friend. She’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and I couldn’t imagine life without her.
Tricks/talents: She’s like every dog that can “sit” and “shake”, but Jayda’s best talent is her behavior. She’s so good when she’s at the salon, I forget she’s there! The clients love her.
Comments: Jayda’s definitely a rock star at Sunkissed. The salon wouldn’t be the same without her. If you don’t have a pet, I recommend you go to your local animal shelter; not only will you save a life, you’ll also have the loyalty of a best friend that money can’t buy.
Sum up your pet in one word: Blessing!
