Podz Eyewear & Dr. Sun Give to Breast Cancer Causes

TOPEKA, KS – In 2013 to date, Podz Eyewear & Dr. Sun have committed over five percent of sales to local breast cancer charities through donation of both product and cash. The team has worked hard to donate their time to the effort, as well.

Company President, Christy Hogan, thinks it’s important as a company to always give back in some way. She strives to keep an active role in charity work, along with her employees.

“I feel that getting involved in your community is extremely important,” says Hogan, “and by giving back to a cause that means something to me and my company, it becomes more than just sales. It’s about the lives we can impact.”

In recent months, Podz has donated Teensy Towels to Couture for Cancer, and 1,000 Pinked Eyewear to the Natural Breast Cancer Prevention Awareness Campaign. In addition, staff member Tiffany Logue was chosen to chair the Race Day and Events Committee for the Race Against Breast Cancer (RABC). Logue must dedicate time and effort throughout the year to RABC in order to make the event a great success.

Mrs. Hogan feels this is a great cause and is happy to have her staff involved. “We’re always open to ways to get involved and I will always support my team members donating their time to great causes. Helping others is something I truly enjoy doing.”

Podz Eyewear and Dr. Sun work to create innovative and exciting products for the tanning and health industries. They are located in Topeka, KS.
