In business as in life, the difference between success and failure sometimes depends on the partners you choose. Since partnering with Four Seasons Sales & Service, Salonsense Media has quadrupled its business!
Launched in 2009 by former tanning salon manager Max Gagnon, Salonsense Media is a point-of-sale media system designed to assist salon staff with presenting product information to customers. To introduce his unique concept to salon owners everywhere, Max knew he needed a distribution company with a big reach to represent it. Thanks to the forward thinking of one dedicated Four Seasons sales representative, Salonsense’s partnership with one of the industry’s largest product distributors was forged … ultimately to the benefit of tanning salon owners across the country!
Salonsense Media is a point-of-sale software program that consists of a computer, screen and scanner. The screen rotates through images and info about salon membership programs, tanning products and specials – if a client has a question about a specific lotion, the staff simply scans the bottle and an image of it, key ingredients and product highlights appear on the screen to help them explain it. “I knew our product could be an excellent sales tool for salon staff; but, I’m a perfectionist by nature, and I didn’t want to go to market without ‘crossing the Ts and dotting the Is’, so to speak,” said Max.
It would be Four Seasons Account Representative Nita Rushing who would ultimately help bring Salonsense Media and the Paris, TN-based distribution company together. “I knew Max and his brother Mage from trying to land the lotion account for their tanning salon,” said Nita. “When he began telling me about his product, I thought that it was a very creative idea and was pretty sure that everyone here at Four Seasons would like to hear about it.”
At Nita’s urging, Max travelled to Tennessee to discuss Salonsene Media with Four Seasons President, Ed Jerger and apparently, the meeting went well. “As a company, we measure our success by how many of our clients we’re able to help make successful, and Salonsense Media is a perfect fit with this philosophy,” said Jerger. “We recognized right away that this product would help salon owners and staff become more profitable, and we were happy to help make it available to everyone.”
It has been a little more than two years since that fateful day in Paris, TN and Max continues to rave about Salonsense Media’s exclusive partnership with Four Seasons. “They’ve provided us with a vehicle to drive our exposure to more than 30 states, which has quadrupled our business!” he exclaimed.
