Dear Readers,
As I write this month’s letter, some recent unusually warm Michigan weather has given my salons a nice shot in the arm (pun intended). I hope that tanners in your town are emerging and venturing out to seek some much-needed UV therapy at your facilities.
Across The Pond, salons in the UK are finally able to reopen and get back to business – for many of them, perhaps, just in the nick of time. This is some good news from IST Contributing Writer, Gary Lipman of Ergoline UK.
In much of the U.S., it’s the time of year for us (salon operators) to make the most of the “busy season.” It’s the time to focus on working smarter. One way to do that is to equip our teams with the tools they need to provide a premium guest experience – knowledge of the tanning process and salon cleanliness are crucial to making that happen. Salon teams all over the country are finding this info and so much more in the Sun is Life® Training & Certification program. Increasing your staff’s confidence level is a game-changer! This month’s Salon of Distinction operator, Deidra Wood, found out how valuable this affordable, accessible education can be. When you complete the training course (at your convenience and at your own pace), your salon becomes eligible for a feature in IST! It’s great publicity for your business.
Now is also the time of year to lock in your EFT members. Check out Jerry Deveney’s article for expert tips on extending the life of your EFT memberships and increasing sales and profits on a year-round basis. In another great piece, Melissa Damiani of SunLync Software discusses the importance of fully utilizing your salon’s data to help you make informed business decisions.
As always, we’re here to help you succeed … as the clouds begin to part and people begin to return to their lives AND your salons.
