If you anxiously await each issue of ist Magazine, it might have a little something to do with our beautiful (and multi-award-winning) covers… and that’s got everything to do with Seafolly!
In 2009, I was looking for a new collection of beautiful, beach-inspired images for our covers that would invite our readers inside the magazine each month. As always, my criteria included classy, natural and healthy-looking models, and the “island” theme for which our publication has become well known. I was thrilled when my online search led me to Australian swimwear maker, Seafolly. Since 1975, Seafolly has been at the heart of the Australian beach lifestyle and their designs are currently stocked in major fashion department stores and swimwear boutiques around the world.
When I visited Seafolly’s website, I was completely wowed by the stunning catalog images and knew I’d found exactly what I wanted: blue ocean, white sand and colorful swimsuit styles – as well as gorgeous girls with familiar faces. I shared what I found with the ist design team, and they were equally excited about the possibility of working with the Seafolly collection. For me, the next step was to contact the company and – hopefully – arrange to use their photos. Once they checked out ist and found that it’s the industry’s leading magazine, nationally circulated to thousands of salons that sell swimwear, and read by the operators, their staff and often the customers, the people at Seafolly thought we were a “good fit”. Since then, photos from the company’s latest collections have graced dozens of our covers.
One concept is integral to the Seafolly brand essence and its customers – women all over the world look forward to summer holiday escapes and weekends at the beach. According to the company, the Australian beach culture influences every style they create. Setting the seasons’ trends, Seafolly offers a fashion-forward and innovative range of high quality swim and lifestyle wear, including an array of bikinis, one piece swimsuits, cover-ups and apparel, along with an extensive accessory collection. Clean and bright with a sense of fun, the designs have a different spin than those seen in European or American swimwear lines. Bold statement prints, contrasting textures and injections of eclectic color encapsulate and reflect the brand philosophy.
Seafolly Australia provides women, girls and boys with a range of fashionable and sun-safe swim and lifestyle wear with the Seafolly Ladies, Seafolly Girl and Tiger Joe collections. Spanning the broad international market, it has become one of the most recognized swimwear and beach lifestyle brands world-wide. And, tanning professionals can look forward to seeing the “famous faces of Seafolly” on many more outstanding (and perhaps, award-winning) ist Magazine covers next year.
